Frequently Asked Questions

What is Aave and how does it work?
Aave is a decentralized lending protocol where users supply crypto assets into liquidity pools and earn interest. Borrowers deposit collateral and take loans against it. All transactions are transparent and executed on-chain via smart contracts.
How much can I earn by supplying to Aave?
Rates vary by asset and market conditions. Check the Aave dashboard for real-time APY on each market. Rates adjust automatically based on supply and demand. More borrowed assets mean higher rates for suppliers.
What is a health factor and why does it matter?
Health factor measures your liquidation risk. It's calculated as (collateral value × liquidation threshold) ÷ borrowed amount. If it drops below 1.0, liquidators can repay your debt and claim collateral. Keep it above 1.5 for safety.
Can I lose my collateral on Aave?
Yes, if liquidated. If your health factor drops below 1.0, liquidators can repay part of your debt and take collateral at a discount. Also, smart contract risks exist. Never borrow more than you can safely repay or monitor.
How do I withdraw my supplied assets?
Open the Aave dashboard, find your supplied asset, and click withdraw. Specify the amount and confirm the transaction. Funds arrive in your wallet if sufficient liquidity exists in the pool. If pool is empty, wait for deposits or reduce borrow demand.
